Matthew's journey towards becoming a trainee patent attorney at Secerna is marked by remarkable academic achievements and a genuine passion for innovation. His venture into patent law began at the University of Cambridge, where he earned a first-class Master's degree in Physics. This academic milestone laid the foundation for his future pursuits in the field of intellectual property.

Following his graduation, Matthew's insatiable curiosity and enthusiasm for cutting-edge research led him back to the University of Cambridge. There, he pursued a Ph.D. in Physics, delving into the fascinating world of quantum optical materials. His doctoral research focused on exploring quantum phenomena in semiconductor devices crafted from two-dimensional materials, showcasing his intellectual prowess and unwavering commitment to pioneering advancements.

Matthew's blend of academic excellence and practical experience enriches our team and his specialisation in the domains of physics, electronics, and engineering aligns seamlessly with our commitment to providing comprehensive support to clients across diverse industries.
